If you're only going to buy one fish guide to the Red Sea, bite the bullet and buy this one. On every Red Sea dive trip on this is the book that everybody makes a beeline for after the dive! First class pictures, not just of fish but coral, invertebrates and all. And a dozen or so "picture stories" on topics relating to the area. A must if you relly want to know what you're looking at down there.

Scuba College Special Recommendation

A really good detailed book for anyone who wants more information on the underwater species in the Red Sea. I am really impressed. The photos are clear and better than the drawings you get in many fish guides. The book also covers corals and mammals as well as fish and is very comprehensive.

In this beautiful and informative book, the isolated Monastery and its buildings are presented in many newly commissioned colour images that include the richly decorated sanctuary of the sixth-century church and the world's most outstanding collection of icons. Along with an introduction by His Eminence Archbishop Damianos and an essay on the Monastery by Helen Evans, the book offers powerful photographs of the site, some of which are provided from the Monastery's archives, with the descriptive captions written by the monks of the Monastery. Published by The Metropolitan Museum of Art in collaboration with The Monastery of St. Catherine at Sinai.

Anyway, it has everything, fantastic locations, shipwrecks, plane crashes, gun running, slavery and lots of adventure. Tintin is of course accompanied by Snowy and Captain Haddock throughout. if you have to read one Tintin story, read this one!

It contains a directory of more than 250 of the world's shark-watching hotspots, form cage-diving with great whites in South Australia to snorkelling with basking sharks in the Irish sea. With web sites to help you organize the experience of a life time, it is the guide to any shark enthusiast.
