The Dive-Site Ras Mamlah

Sinai Dive-site - Ras Mamlahis situated in the most nothern corner of the Protected Area Ras Abu Ghalum. This national park, beside "Ras Mohamed" and "Nabq", is a beautiful area, protected by park rangers. It is well known for its' wild life in and outside the water. You can do excellent dives on a close to virgin dive site here.

You will see a variety of fauna and flora in the sub aqua world. The dive area begins with a shallow water lagoon (-0,5m), after this a sandy slope goes down to -18 m. Here you will find a lot of coral , an eel garden, and with some luck, turtles, a friendly and interested barracuda and black spotted stingrays. At -18m starts a wall dropping down with changing currents. The wall is well known for its variety of table coral and black coral.

Remark: You will go about 1,75 hrs by jeep to this dive site on a dirty track along the coast line, with the Sinai mountains on your right and the Red Sea on your left shoulder.
