House Reef

Our house-reef, situated directly at the beach of our diving centre and the hotel "Nuweiba Village" should actually be called "Lionfish Bay" due to the unlimited numbers of Red Lionfish to be found here. The house reef consists of two reef parts. It is located to both sides of a sea-grass area.

In the left part you will still find remains of the fishing ropes used by the fishermen to catch sharks some years ago. In the reef there are also some overhangs, hiding larger fish like Groupers or Tuna. The reef to the right side offers a varied underwater landscape with reef parts, sandy slopes, a large old anchor and a small wall. In particular on night dipping courses this reef shows its own attraction.

At these reefs all typical fish types of the Red Sea can be spotted, in particular Red Lion Fish, different species of Murray, Sea Moths, Scorpion Fish, Torpedo Rays and much more. Even the dolphin Olin has been spotted already several times during dives and diving courses.
